About The Author

Shawn M Dean was born in Kokomo, Indiana, but was raised on the emerald green waters and white sandy shores of Florida’s Gulf Coast, in New Port Richey. 

Shawn is a former Army Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division where he spent four years "jumping out of perfectly good airplanes." He holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of South Florida and a Master’s degree in Marine Biology from Nova Southeastern University. 

Since 2014, Shawn has called Key West, Florida his home where he has worked as a dive instructor, boat captain, college professor, and rum maker. 

As a creative writer Shawn pulls from his background to craft compelling stories that captivate audiences. With a passion for storytelling, he brings words to life and engages readers in unforgettable ways.
